First Time: Version II

Author: icegirl99 or Mrs. Ronald Weasley
Rating: M or NC-17
Pairing/s: Bella/Carlisle, mentions of Edward/Bella
Category: Romance/Hurt/Comfort
Spoilers: Very slight for New Moon
Warnings: Sexual content
Summary: Bella’s first time, but with Carlisle instead of Edward. AU.
A/N: Takes place in a universe similar to my ‘If Only’ one. Except that ‘If Only’ never took place, if that makes sense. Based off an idea had after waking up this morning. Told from Carlisle’s POV.

She still has the nightmares, it’s been months, but she still can’t seem to shake them. It pains me when I have to work the midnight shifts at the hospital, leaving her alone.

Her screams finally break the silence of the dark room and I have no choice but to her rouse her from the hell that her brain has created for her.

“Bella?” I say gently, setting aside my book and shaking her lightly. She gasps as her eyes open and I take her in my arms. “It’s okay,” I soothe, rubbing her back. “Everything’s okay, I am here.”

“It was worse this time, Carlisle,” she says and I notice that she’s still trembling in my arms.

“I know, I know.” She lays her head against my cold, hard shoulder.

I keep my arms around her for a few minutes, waiting for her breathing to even out. It never does, and I look down at her face, noticing for the first time that there are wet, salty tears flowing down her cheeks. “What’s wrong, love?” I ask her.

She shakes her head and turns in my arms, clinging to me. “I’m so sorry, Carlisle,” she gasps.

Sorry? Sorry for what? I think. Edward’s death? Did she still blame herself?

I sigh quietly as a thought crosses my mind. With my medical training I knew the chemistry of the human brain, and the hormones that are released with sexual arousal and orgasm. Hormones that would calm her and remove some of her emotional distress.

Edward had mentioned that Bella had asked him to give her sexual pleasure; I’d advised him as best I could. I had never done anything with a human, but I was more in touch with what remained of my human side than the rest of the family.

“Bella?” I ask, pulling her from the reverie she had gone into. She looks at me with the pain and sorrow still in her dark eyes. One of the barriers to human physical arousal was deep emotional stress, I realize and hope that it isn’t too much.

“Yes, Carlisle?”

Surprised that she answered me, I look at her warily for a moment, weighing my decision, it would work, but I don’t if Edward had actually acted on his plan, if not, that may make this a little harder. “Can you sleep?” I ask her.

“I don’t want the dream to come back,” her hand moves to my arm and she grips me tightly.

“What if I told you that I can take your fear of the dreams away, Bella, would you trust me?”

Her eyes get the slightest hint of brightness to them and I know that she’ll be alright, whether or not I can do this for her. “I trust you Carlisle, with my life.”

I smile slightly, and then turn serious. “Have you and Edward had intimate relations before?” I mentally remanded myself for being so professional, I probably sound as if I’m trying to take advantage of her.

She seems to be a little bit confused. “No,” she whispers, “we…”

“Never had the chance?” I finish for her, she nods.

“Why?” Bella inquires after a moment.

I think for a second, wondering which would be the best way to go about this. “Certain things happen in your brain when you have an orgasm Bella,” I noticed the slight tinge of color creep into her face. “It can take away emotional and some physical pain, temporally.” I add. Her expression doesn’t change. “Bella,” I say, “it’s been months, and nothing seems to work. It hurts me to see you in such pain, and I can’t do anything about it…it’s just a suggestion.”

“Carlisle,” she says, and I notice her voice is longer pained, although a bit hoarse. “I’m willing to try anything. As much as I miss him, I don’t want to remember him in my nightmares.”

I nod, and bend my head, my eyes meeting hers to evaluate her trust one more time before I gently capture her lips with mine.

It only takes Bella second before she responds, kissing me back eagerly. She parts her lips for me and I let my tongue slide into her mouth, tasting her. She groans quietly as I shift her in my arms, laying her flat on the bed.

Bella breaks the kiss and as I move my mouth to her neck, her hand threads into my hair, pulling slightly. I can hear and smell the blood rushing through her and I start to feel my arousal. Edward was right, I think, she does smell heavenly.

I feel her hands at my collar, pulling at the buttons on my dress shirt. I lift my head and kiss her again as Bella pushes the shirt off my shoulders. Her hands go to my chest and mine to the hem of her nightshirt.

Pulling away from the kiss, I removed her shirt, leaving Bella in only her panties. My hands went to her breasts and I began to gently rub and knead them. Bella let out a soft sigh and bent my head, taking her right nipple into my mouth. I flick my tongue against her and lightly suck. “Carlisle,” she breathes and I feel her hand in my hair again, pushing me, wanting more. I bring my hand up to caress her other breast, pinching that nipple lightly.

“More please,” Bella whimpers, her hips rising from the bed. The contact of her warm body against mine makes me growl quietly, and I know that I won’t be able to take much more.

I reach for her panties, meeting her eyes to make sure that this is what she wants, Bella nods and I pull them down and off her. Moving back up to kiss her, I let my hand trail up her inner thigh, slowly making my way up.

Her hands are exploring my chest again; I sigh quietly as she pinches one of my nipples and return her pleasure by reaching up and putting pressure on her clit. Bella moans and arches, her body feels amazing against mine.

She reaches for my belt, her fingers working as quickly as humanly possible; she pulls at my pants and boxers, pushing them down my legs. Sighing at the relief of pressure, I kick them aside, and bring my mouth to hers, threading a hand through her soft hair.

I slide my fingers on my other hand along her soft folds, parting them slightly and letting my middle finger slip into her.

“Oh, Carlisle,” Bella moans pulling out of our kiss and moving her hips against my hand. “Please.” I press my thumb against her clit as I slide two more fingers into her heat, stretching her gently.

“Bella,” I groan, my breath caressing her neck, as she clenches around my fingers once.

“I’m ready Carlisle,” she says and I pull my head back to look at her.

“Okay,” I reply, nodding and removing my hand from her.

I shift moving over her and positioning myself. Slowly I begin to push inside of her. It feels good, I’d never felt such warmth and softness, she feels like liquid silk. However, after only a few inches I felt the resistance.

Bella whimpered then and I couldn’t tell if it was from pleasure or discomfort. “Bella?” I ask, concern now in my voice.

“It’s okay Carlisle,” she assures me, although her voice is barely a whisper and her eyes are closed. “Just do it all in one thrust. Please.”

I look at her warily before capturing her lips in loving kiss and thrusting deeply into her. “Oh!” Bella cries out, arching her body into mine.

I keep still inside her as her head comes to rest on my shoulder. “I’m sorry Bella,” I whisper, soothingly caressing her back.

“It’s okay,” she whispers, “move please.” And then thrusts her hips against mine.

I pull back and slowly push back in. Bella whimpers with every thrust and I move my hand to her clit. “Yes,” she moans. “Oh, Carlisle.” I increase my pressure and tempo and her moans get louder.

Within seconds she cries out my name and her muscles spasm around me. I groan as I can feel my release coming. Just as her orgasm subsides, I am granted mine.

After a moment she collapses against me and I gently pull out of her. “Are you alright Bella?”

“Yes,” she breathes, still trying to catch her breath. “I feel better now.”

“Good,” I say, smiling slightly and pulling her tightly against me, never to let go.

    <lj:music>October & April - The Rasmus feat. Anette Olzon</lj:music>

My husband is being stubborn, and I swear if he keeps it up, I'm going to drag him (as best I can anyway), out the door and to the hospital.

I'm pretty sure he has a mildly severe case of pneumonia (meaning he needs treatment, but at this point isn't life threatening, which if left untreated pneumonia can cause death). It started out with a really bad cold, which somehow I managed not to catch and then progressed into a lung infection (at which point I told him to see a doctor, but he insisted he'd be fine, I should've known better) and now I'm almost positive he's got pneumonia. All the symptoms are there. He just won't let me take him in for a damn chest x-ray. Really he should know better too.

Mike has the thing where he won't seek medical treatment for himself if I'm not feeling well. This happened last year in February when I had a nasty flu and then gave it to him. Well this time I have a pretty bad headache that I can't get to go away. He says he's not going until I'm feeling better. I took advil, but that's not really helping. Maybe I should just lie and tell him I'm feeling alright. After all, I'm not the one constantly running a fever of 103. *sigh*

She didn't need to turn around to know that he was behind her, feeling the exact same way. This was their ritual. On the same day each year they'd come to visit, and every year it ended the same way; they'd leave and wait another year for the day to come again. This was the only time that they were able to see him. Rather than it being comforting, all it did was tear her apart on the inside. She knew he felt the same way.

She turned to look at the man standing behind her. He reached for her hand and she let him take it. As they walked away, she turned around and looked at what they had just left.

Sitting on the ground in front of two headstones, was a man with golden blonde hair, tracing the outline of the names on the two stones. She bit her lip, and she wasn't surprised that she felt no pain. She wanted to cry out to the man, but she knew he couldn't hear her. She looked up into the face of the man who stood next to her, and she noticed that he was also crying. She reached up to wipe the tears from his face, and let out a sob of her own. He wrapped his arms around her and together they looked on at the man who was sobbing in front of them.

"We love you, Carlisle," they said together, and once again turned and walked away.

Carlisle Cullen turned sharply and looked behind him, searching desperately for the source of the words he had just heard. He could have sworn...but no, it was impossible. They'd been gone ten years, he reminded himself.

He turned and once again faced the stones in front of him, knowing that someday soon he'd have his own stone next to theirs, saying the same thing.

Isabella Marie Cullen

Daughter, Wife, Sister

Edward Cullen

Son, Husband, Brother

Not sure if I like it all that much, but oh well, I was itching to write Tarja/Anette. Also I don’t dive into the personal lives of my favourite bands too much, so I apologize if this is OOC. Sorry it’s so short.

Tarja didn’t know how it came to be, how that right now she’s lying naked next to the woman who had taken her place. But she did know why.

She remembered hearing about it, how Tuomas and the other band members had finally found a new lead singer to replace her. A woman by the name of Anette Olzon. She didn’t even know the woman, yet she hated her. Hated that she was ‘good enough’ to replace her.

It was a good year or so before Tarja could even bring herself to listen to her. But when she finally did, the resentment that had filled her for so long slowly lifted with the strange ‘up beat’ sound to Anette’s voice.

That was how this all started. How she ended up falling in love with Anette. It was a process, of course, and both Tarja and Anette were hesitant in the beginning. But as things progressed, they each found themselves falling even more for the other.

Marcelo would never forgive her for leaving him for a woman, but she didn’t mind, maybe Tuomas had been right after all. Marcelo could never be what she fully wanted in a person, let alone a lover.

Tuomas had expressed his own feelings for her, but as much as she wished she could return those feelings, she couldn’t. Years ago she might have tried, but not now. Tuomas was a wonderful man and Tarja was happy that he had found what he wanted in Emppu.

Now the only thing left was to wonder how long this could last? Most certainly many things don’t last forever. Tarja had learned the hard way more than once in her life. As much as she wanted Anette, she knew that one day it could all be over. That Anette would find something in a man or perhaps another woman, that Tarja could not give her.

She tried to push those thoughts from her mind as she turned onto her side and laid her head on the chest of her lover. Listening to Anette’s calm, even breaths, soon brought her back into a deep sleep.

A powerful electrical sting of desire zeros in on his crotch when she bends to retrieve one of her pearl-drop earrings that have fallen on the floor. When she turns to face him, her full rounded breasts heave against the tight fabric and almost spill out.

The sexy fishnet stockings are his undoing and while desire floods his cold veins, his cock hardens painfully inside his pants. She notices and he knows it as her hazel eyes shift over him as though she is drinking the very essence of him into her mind. Her arousal is as potent as his own even though she has only just become aware of it. God, she’s incredible he thinks, he had intended to kill her, but now she was his.

Her lipstick has faded only slightly and he can imagine her dark red mouth around him, trailing kisses over his body. She’d be a mind-blowing lover, he knows. He doesn’t know how he knows, but he does. Something in the way she confidently tilts her hips and straightens her spine tells him that she would be the boss...the leader. He wants to show her what it’s like to be submissively pleasured.

She reaches behind her neck and unclips the heavily decorated necklace, exposing the column of her throat to his ravenous eyes. There is no doubt in his mind now that they are both sharing the same vivid, urgent thoughts of how they can each enjoy the other’s body. Her slow gaze is hungry now, shifting over him as though she is wondering where to feast her mouth first. Her lips are pursed; plump and ripe.

The look in her eyes is damned near feral, her breasts are heaving inside the corset as she tosses the necklace aside. It hits the counter with the rattle and clatter of beads, when it falls to the floor she ignores it. To her right, the silver handcuffs that he had used to hold her captive glint in the dim light and she turns her head to examine them. He knows what she’s thinking; she’s reliving the sexually charged adrenaline rush of having herself so helplessly at his mercy. She was terrified at first, but it didn’t take her long.

Her breathing is laboured when she steps towards him and takes his shirt in tight fists. She smells intoxicating, whether she is wearing perfume or it’s simply the scent of the blood pumping through her, he cannot be sure. Her eyes challenge him; do you dare me? They say. You think I won’t fuck you right here?

She flattens her palms against his chest and pushes him. Willingly he hits the lumpy mattress with a thud. He looks up at her and for a fleeting moment he wonders if she might be the one to devour him. She unties the silk bows that adorn her shoulders, he doesn’t like sexual torture dished out in the form of ‘waiting’, he grabs her hips and she lands on top of him, a breathless ‘oomph’ escaping her lips before her hot, wet mouth finds his. Her breasts are pressed against him, supple and creamy. He cups one, his thumb diving beneath the intricately woven lace to seek out her hardened nipple. She groans, her hips instinctively grinding against his. Her hand moves between their bodies, smoothing over his rigid shaft, pleasuring herself in knowing that she is his sole cause in this life.

She moves, shifts her weight just enough for him to remove her breast entirely from the confines of the corset and devour it with his mouth. He sucks until she cries out, grinding against him.

She clasps his jaw, detaching his mouth from her breast. Her skin shimmers from the moisture of his tongue, her cheeks are flushed and the sexual arousal is pungent in the air between them.

He flips her, sending her limbs flailing against the mattress as his large hands tear even more frantically at the stockings that, although sexy, hinder his ability to get to where he so desperately needs to be. Her thighs almost bare now, the fishnets are all but destroyed as he removes the black panties that complete the vixen-like outfit.

He doesn’t want to undress her because he likes the disheveled urgency of her appearance. She reaches for him, unsnaps his pants and releases his aching erection. Her fingers deftly unbutton his shirt, her palms splay across his chest.

Her fingers tighten as she guides him to her opening, parting her thighs further to accommodate him. The weakened bed springs give another shuddering protest as he nudges the tip of his cock inside her, stretching the wet walls of her pussy. Her white teeth gnaw on the plump flesh of her lower lip and she wraps her legs around him. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, preparing to sheath himself entirely in her warm wetness. She’s not prepared to wait; lifting her hips and pressing her heels against his back, she thrusts upwards and he is completely enveloped in the silky, soft wet flesh of her tunnel. He can feel the patent leather of her red ankle boots against his skin.

He moves, thrusting inside of her with the urgency of a man about to die from the pleasure. He cannot get enough of her tightness, of the way she tenses herself around him, squeezing him. His thighs stiffen with each plunge, her breasts shift, her tight red nipples calling to him. He drops his head, pulls one between his teeth and bites so hard that he can taste the sweetness of her blood. Her fingers lace into his hair and grip the stands at his scalp. He wants her to come around him, so he bites harder, the fierce nibbles coincide with the hard thrust of his hips. She moans and thrashes, their bodies slap together, harder and faster as the necessity of their pleasure increases. The pressure rises and he suddenly worries she might die if she doesn’t find release soon. He reaches between their bodies and rubs her clit firmly.

Her spine arches, he drives deep inside her body and freezes. She looks at him, tensing her inner walls tightly around his cock. He’s going to come, she knows. Grinding herself against him, she feels the tremors trundle through her body. He groans, emptying himself inside her in two long, deep thrusts.

Exhausted, he falls against her. She cradles him against her bleeding breasts, his cool breath fanning against her bare chest. She trembles, the burning in her breasts making her sob.

He turns, latching his mouth over her bleeding nipple and he sucks, pulling his venom out. He would leave her a human. The fucking was much better anyway.

Takes place in Aliens In A Spaceship.
A/N: My first Bones piece. Hopefully it’s not too OOC. Got the idea while re-watching Aliens In A Spaceship. After crying my eyes out, I decided to give this idea a try. If you’re a fan of my Twilight fics, don’t worry I haven’t left that fandom, I just couldn’t write anything and needed to try something different. Anyway, please read and review.

“Anyone you want to say goodbye to?” Hodgins raised his head.

Brennan nodded slightly, the pain and fear evident in her features as he handed her the pen and paper.

Sighing, she held the pen above the paper, wondering what to write. There wasn’t much space left, and they were running out of time.

“Keep it simple,” Hodgins said quietly. “Write from your heart.”

Her eyes met his once more before she began moving the pen across the paper:

Dear Booth,

If you are reading this, I am dead. I would be lying if I told you I wasn’t terrified. As long as I have worked with the dead, I still can’t accept the fact that I’m not going to make it out of here alive.

But regardless, that is all irrelevant now, especially if you’re reading this. What I guess I am trying to say is, is that I have fallen in love with you.

I have used such words because there is no other word to describe the way I feel about you. Who knew a four letter word could hold so much meaning in someone’s life? Well it did for me.

You, Seeley, held that meaning in my life. I hope that you will remember me.

Goodbye,
Temperance

Enjoy.

It had been two weeks since I’d moved in with the Cullens, although it seemed much longer. I found it a little strange that neither Edward nor Carlisle had touched me in that time frame; you’d think that having me all to themselves would’ve made them want me even more. Apparently that wasn’t the case. It didn’t matter though, being closer to them just seemed to make the sexual tension even worse for me. Something had to be done, otherwise I felt like I might explode.

I sighed and turned over the chicken breast in the frying pan; Edward and the others had gone hunting for the weekend, leaving me alone with Carlisle, who had agreed to stay behind with me. Thank god it was Sunday, I thought, as I planned to confront Edward about his apparent lack of sexual desire for me when he returned.

My eyes wandered to the clock above the sink as I waited for my chicken to finish cooking. It was only ten after six.

“Edward won’t be back until morning I’m afraid,” Carlisle’s soft voice came from behind me. I closed my eyes and let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding in. “Is everything alright Bella?” Carlisle was suddenly beside me and his voice was slightly concerned. He laid a hand on my shoulder and heat immediately flashed through me, my body now affected as much by his touch as it was Edward’s. I tried to ignore it, but I’m sure Carlisle noticed.

“Everything’s fine,” I replied, turning my head and meeting his gaze. But I paused and bit my lip for a moment, before deciding that I might get an answer easier out of Carlisle than I would Edward. “It’s just...Has Edward been avoiding me?” I left Carlisle out of this, for the time being anyway, he had an excuse. Edward didn’t.

He looked confused for a second. “Bella,” Carlisle said slowly, “Edward hasn’t been avoiding you.”

I almost laughed, Carlisle hadn’t understood me completely. “That’s not what I meant exactly,” I replied, a slight smile on my face.

This seemed to confuse him even further. “I’m sorry, Bella,” he said, “but I don’t seem to follow.”

“Well,” I started, now trying to hide the blush that wanted to creep into my cheeks. “Ever since I moved here, Edward and I haven’t...” For some reason I couldn’t bring myself to say the word sex. What was wrong with me? Why was I suddenly so embarrassed in front of a vampire who’d I’d slept with many times before? Maybe it was the sudden lack of sexual contact between us.

Carlisle grinned as he finally understood what I was getting at. Moving to stand in front of me, he placed his hands on my arms. I shivered as my heart rate quickened. “It doesn’t have anything to do with you Bella,” he said. His face, his lips were only inches from mine. So close...I fought my intense urge to close that distance and kiss him senseless. “Edward is just being modest, for the rest of us.”

I tried my best to act angry, I failed horribly. “Yeah, well, it’s driving me insane!” Instead my voice sounded more like pleading, asking Carlisle to relieve the sexual tension that was growing stronger with every second that he was this close to me.

He let go of my arms and turned suddenly, I frowned in irritation, but it wasn’t until now did I notice the burning smell. “Great,” I muttered as Carlisle turned the stove off. I grabbed the frying pan, tossed the chicken into the garbage, and then set it back on the stove.

“Do you want something else?” Carlisle asked, “I can go and get you something.” I briefly considered that, and wondered if getting him out of the house would help. But I shook my head, I was determined now.

“I’m not that hungry anyway.” He eyed me suspiciously but didn’t say anything. In truth, I hadn’t lied; I was too aroused to worry about food. Damn him.

Walking past Carlisle, I went into the living room and sat down on the couch, flipping on the TV. I hoped Carlisle would follow, he did. He kept his distance from me however, when he sat down.

Pretending not to find anything interesting on the channels, I passed Carlisle the remote, letting my hand linger a bit on his. “Bella?” he asked suddenly, I looked at him. “When was the last time you and Edward had sex?”

My heart seemed to jump and I felt the heat fill my cheeks. “It’s been almost two weeks,” I replied, and then frowned. “Why?”

“Oh it’s nothing,” Carlisle smiled slightly, “It’s just that I’ve noticed a change in your scent. Something I’m sure Edward has picked up on too, your hormones seem to be slightly high.”

“Is that normal?” I asked, suddenly wondering if there was another reason why I was like this.

“It’s perfectly normal,” he replied. “Assuming, you haven’t been,” he paused, “taking matters into your own hands, so to speak.”

I turned even redder, but his words also seemed to spike my arousal. My breathing quickened and I knew I couldn’t take much more of this. We were alone, and none of the others would be back until morning...

I stood and moved over to him, he watched me warily, but made no move to stop me. Straddling his lap, I kissed him. Forcing my tongue into his mouth, I moaned when I tasted the sweetness of his breath.

After a second, Carlisle brought his hands up to my head and gently pushed me back, breaking the heated kiss. “I take it that’s a no then,” he smiled.

I frowned through the haze of my arousal for a moment before I finally realized what he’d been referring to. “No,” I panted, “it just doesn’t give me the same satisfaction.”

Carlisle’s smile widened and he shifted, his leg brushing between mine. I gasped and arched at the sudden contact, desperate for more. Carlisle switched off the TV and then picked me up, laying me on the couch.

“Edward isn’t going to be happy about this,” Carlisle said as he crawled over me.

Breathing heavily, I looked up into his eyes; they were already dark. “It’s his own damn fault,” I panted, lifting my hips from the couch, trying to feel his body on mine. “I wouldn’t be like this if it wasn’t for him and his modesty.” I rolled my eyes.

Carlisle laughed lightly and bent his head, his lips brushed over the skin of my neck. “You could always tell him that it was medically necessary,” I suggested, shifting my hips, trying to get his leg to move between mine.

He lifted his head. “Edward would never buy that,” he grinned, running his hands up my sides and cupping my breasts through my top. I whimpered and arched into his touch as I felt my nipples tighten against the fabric of my bra.

I reached for the hem on my t-shirt and tugged on it, but Carlisle didn’t move. Instead he leaned down, careful to keep his body off mine and began kissing my neck. I writhed under him, my hands still pulling at my shirt. His hand caught my wrist suddenly. “Patience, Bella,” he said against my collarbone. “That’s the very least I can ask of you in return.”

I growled, but he merely laughed lightly.

Carlisle was enjoying this torture! If I had the strength, I would push him off me, pin him to the floor and show him what it feels like to go weeks without any sexual gratification.

“Please Carlisle,” I begged, “you know I’ve waited long enough.”

He pulled away and looked me over for a moment before replying. “Yes, I suppose you have. However, you will thank me later for doing this to you.” Carlisle reached underneath me, slid a hand underneath my shirt and lifted me from the couch. He pulled my shirt off and unclasped my bra before laying me back down.

Carlisle kissed me before slowly making his way down my neck, to my chest. Shaking with desire, I reached up and wove my hand into his golden hair as his lips closed over my nipple. He sucked and flicked his tongue against it, his hand caressing the neglected breast. I whimpered when he pinched my nipple lightly, the sensations making the ache between my legs even stronger. “Oh, Carlisle,” I moaned, “please.”

As if to obey my pleadings, he kissed each of my breasts before reaching for the button on my jeans. I lifted my hips as he finally pulled them, and my panties, off me. My legs fell open as he crawled back on top of me, his cold hand travelled up my calf, to my thigh, and then finally to were I wanted it.

Carlisle kissed me gently as he began slowly rubbing my clit. I gasped, breaking the kiss, my hips arching upwards in a vain attempt to get him to use more pressure. “More, Carlisle,” I panted, writhing. “Please.”

He laughed lightly and bent his head over my chest. Taking my nipple into his mouth, his fingers increased their pressure and tempo just slightly. “Oh yes,” I hissed, my eyes falling closed. The sensations started to meet, closer and closer, my moans getting louder and louder. I could feel myself so close to the edge, one more flick of his fingers and-

Carlisle stopped suddenly and my eyes flew open. I opened my mouth to protest, but he seemed to catch onto my frustration, and resumed his rubbing, although just slight. “I’m sorry,” he apologized, “but, trust me Bella, you’ll thank me soon enough.”

“I won’t be doing anything if you don’t hurry up,” I breathed, trying to push myself further into his hands. “I thought you agreed...?”

“I agreed to rid you of your sexual frustration,” he replied matter-of-factly, his hand still stroking my slowly. The sensations making me feel like I might explode any moment. “I didn’t agree to do it quickly.”

I rolled my eyes, this had gone too far. “Carlisle, I swear to-”

“Bella, my love,” he looked me in the eye.

“What?”

“Forgive me.” I didn’t have time to process what he meant by that, as he suddenly moved his hand over my clit at an intense rate and pressure.

I cried out as my orgasm hit me, my muscles contracting in glorious waves of pure pleasure. My body rose from the couch and my hands found Carlisle’s shoulders, gripping him tightly.

It was several seconds before the orgasm subsided and I collapsed against the couch. Carlisle lay above me, watching me intently as I tried to catch my breath. “Are you alright Bella?” he asked.

“Yes,” I breathed, “I think that was the most powerful orgasm I’ve ever had.” Carlisle smiled slightly and kissed my sweat covered forehead.

“You’re welcome,” he said before moving away.

“Wait, Carlisle,” I said, and reached out. I managed to grab onto his wrist. He turned to me; I looked into his dark eyes as I pushed myself into a sitting position. I stood and motioned for him to sit.

“Bella,” he protested, “it’s not necessary-”

“Please Carlisle,” I said, tugging the shirt off of him. “As much as I hate it that you tortured me, I’m not going to let you suffer.” He sighed, but I couldn’t tell if it was my words or the freeing of his erection as I tugged his pants down his legs.

Holding onto Carlisle’s shoulders for support, I climbed onto him, straddling his waist. Both of us let out a breathy moan when I sank down onto him. I was about to lift my hips up when I felt his hands gripping me tightly. “Let me,” he whispered and picked up me up, laying me once again on the couch, without ever pulling out of me.

Carlisle kissed me, thrusting his cold tongue into my mouth as he began to move, thrusting slowly at first, but it didn’t take long before he increased his rhythm.

I broke the kiss, gasping as he slid easily in and out of me, and I could feel the sensations building once again. Reaching down, I rubbed my clit slowly, and I immediately clenched around him once. “Bella,” he growled.

Smiling, I rubbed myself harder, my hips arching into his as the waves of pleasure washed over me again. “Carlisle,” I breathed, my muscles convulsing around him.

“Oh, Bella,” he groaned as I pulled him into orgasm.

I was still panting when he pulled out of me and quickly dressed himself. He waited patiently while I regained my breath, finally he asked, “would you like me to cook you something for dinner?” I had completely forgotten about eating, and my stomach seemed to remind me at that moment, growling rather loudly. I blushed as Carlisle laughed lightly. “I take it that’s a yes then,” he smiled and headed for the kitchen.

Sitting up, I gathered my clothes and headed for the shower.

Heaven Laid In Tears

Author: Mrs Ronald Weasley
Rating: PG-13 or T
Pairing/s: Edward/Bella, Carlisle, Alice
Category: Tragedy/Angst
Spoilers: Eclipse
Warnings: Major character death, lots of angst
Summary: The future isn’t always clear. It wasn’t on that cold, and snowy December evening. But in a split second, in a flash of red and white lights, of twisted metal, I saw it. Our future changed, forever.
A/N: Takes place during Eclipse. Based somewhat on a true story. My first attempt at writing from Alice’s POV. It’s for you love, captjackspeanut, in return for the death fic you wrote for me last night. Although I'm not sure I really like what I've done with it, but enjoy anyway.

“Edward?” Emmett stood by the back door, his hand on the frame, waiting.

“Go Emmett, I’ll catch up later,” Edward said, “I’m going to wait for Bella, and make sure she gets here alright. I’m sure it’s quite nasty out there.”

Emmett nodded and then ran out the door to join the others.

Edward paced, I could sense his unease. “She’s going to get here, Edward,” I said, trying to reassure him.

“Have you actually seen it Alice?” he whispered, stopping and turning towards me. “You know I don’t like leaving her. Especially now that we know Victoria is back.” He paused and resumed his pacing. “I knew I should’ve picked her up myself.”

Carlisle appeared in the kitchen doorway. “Edward,” he said his voice even more reassuring than mine had been. Carlisle had always been the best at being able to calm Edward. “She’ll be just fine. Alice and I will take good care of her.”

Edward sucked in a deep breath, sighing, and running a hand over his face. My eyes went to the clock; Bella was running late. Edward’s head snapped in my direction then, his black gaze anxious. I knew what he wanted me to do.

I let my eyes drift shut as I relaxed my mind, and began searching for her. Hoping for just a glimpse. It took a moment before I found her; she was still driving on the highway, just north of the town. The snow and ice pounded on the truck, making it difficult for her to see in the darkness.

“See?” I said to Edward, although I knew he had seen it too. “She’s just being careful. Bella will be-”

My breath caught in fear, as two bright white lights flashed through my mind, blinding me. The truck slid across the highway, its trailer going sideways, and with a cry from both Edward and I, hit Bella’s truck, head-on.

“No!” Edward’s grief-stricken howl met my ears as the panic welled within me.

“What?! What is it Edward?!” Carlisle’s voice was agonized and anxious. Edward had fallen to the floor, tearless sobs tearing through him.

I jumped up from the couch. “Carlisle,” I spoke in a rush. There still might be time. “Go get your bag. Bella’s been in a serious accident.”

He seemed shocked for a moment, but then ran up to his office without a word. “Edward,” I said my voice weak. I pulled him from the floor. “Edward, come on, there still might time.” He didn’t move, didn’t speak.

“Where Alice?” Carlisle appeared beside me. “How far?”

“About fifty miles north of town,” I said. “We need to hurry.” I tugged on Edward’s arm, but he didn’t move. Carlisle was already running to the garage, left with no other choice, I scooped my brother into my arms and ran with him to Carlisle’s car.

I began calculating the time frame in my mind as Carlisle raced through town. “It’s too late,” Edward’s voice was barely audible.

“You don’t know that!” I countered, trying to keep the panic that seemed to be growing with every second at bay.

“And you do?!” Edward hissed, “Alice, I saw exactly what you saw! Don’t tell me-”

“Enough,” Carlisle said. “Edward, Alice is doing everything she can to save Bella. And she’s right; if we hurry we might get there in time to stop the accident from happening.”

“Carlisle!” Edward shouted suddenly. “Stop the car!”

My head snapped up and then I saw it. The truck in front of us hit its brakes suddenly, the sound of its horn, long and deep, echoed through the night. Carlisle pressed down on the brakes, but managed to keep the car from sliding on the ice.

Edward reached for the door handle, and opened it. “No, Edward!” I cried, grabbing a hold of him. “It’s too heavy; you’d never be able to stop it.” I watched helplessly as the truck jackknifed, and with a sickening crunch, hit the vehicle in the on-coming lane.

Carlisle brought the car to a stop on the side of the road, but Edward was already gone. I jumped out and ran after him, Carlisle right behind me.

“Bella?!” Edward’s tortured voice called. He grabbed the driver’s side door of her truck and ripped it off, tossing it aside. “Oh god, love!”

“Edward,” she choked. Her forehead was bleeding, and the dashboard had been pushed back, pinning her to the seat.

“Don’t worry love; we’re going to get you out of here. Everything’s going to be alright.” His hand was on her face, brushing away the tears that streamed down her cheeks.

“It hurts!” I grabbed her failing left hand in my own as she gasped for breath in anguish.

“I know, Bella,” I soothed as best I could, although my strength was slowly starting to crumble at its very foundation. I choked back a sob; I couldn’t stand to see her in such pain. “Carlisle!” I called frantically, wondering where he had gone.

“I’m here,” he said in a disheartened tone. He worked quickly. “Her lung is collapsed, most likely torn from a broken rib, but I can’t...there’s not enough room.”

“Then we pull her out,” Edward said frantically.

“No,” Carlisle whispered, and it wasn’t until now did I notice the steadily increasing scent of Bella’s blood. I looked down and saw it gathering in a dark pool on the floor of the truck. “The damage to her abdomen is extensive. If we pull her out she’ll go into hypovolemic shock.”

“You don’t know that!” Edward shouted, he turned to Bella, “You’re going to be alright Bella.” I couldn’t tell if he was trying to convince her or himself, but the most awful ache began to take hold in my chest. “You have to.”

“She’s lost too much blood,” Carlisle stated solemnly.

“I’m cold,” Bella choked back her tears, trying to hide her pain. Her eyes fluttered closed as her breath caught.

Edward grabbed her face. “Don’t you give up on me! Damn it! You’re better than this Bella...we’re better than this!” A sob escaped him as she cried in anguish.

“Don’t, Edward,” she pleaded in a broken whisper. She was growing weaker already.

His hands shook as he caressed her skin, desperate to get her to stay with him. Her tears were following onto his hands, faster than he could wipe them away.

The sounds of approaching sirens dulled as my own broken sobs broke through. My heart, although already dead, felt like it had been shattered into a million tiny pieces.

“Please, Carlisle,” Edward begged, “please help her.”

“I can’t-I can’t do anything more,” Carlisle cried now too, finally accepting that this was it. That nothing he could do would save her.

“I need you to stay Bella,” Edward whispered.

“Hold on there,” the voice a firefighter said as he ran up to the truck. “We’ll have you out of there in no time.”

None of us paid any attention. “Please, Bella, I want you here.”

She tried to smile her him, probably trying to tell him to stop his whining, and I choked on my breath as I realized that even in her final moments she was still Bella. But the pain of having the dashboard pulled back left her gasping in agony. Her eyes swam in endless tears as she searched for Carlisle, begging him to do something.

“I don’t want to die,” the words slipped from her mouth, shattering any attempt she’d been doing to make this easier.

With a sickening scrape, the front of the truck pulled away, releasing its grip on her. What it revealed made my breath hitch: her blood was everywhere. With nothing to support her, she slid into Edward’s arms, and he laid her flat on the ground. He cradled her head in his hands while I held her hand tightly, and Carlisle reached around into his bag, each of us trying desperately to anchor her to this world.

“She’s bleeding out too fast, I can’t find-” Carlisle hastily pulled out a wad of gauze. He pressed it to her gaping wound. Within seconds it was soaked and her blood began running down onto the pavement, turning the freshly fallen snow a deep red. “I need some help over here!” Carlisle called out.

“The paramedics are on their way,” the firefighter replied.

Bella began gasping for air. We could not lose her like this.

“Bella,” her name fell from my lips in a whisper, a prayer for deliverance. But for her, there was none.

I could hear the police radioing for more help, but their words meant nothing. She was fading right in front of us. And nothing Carlisle could do would stop it. She looked up at Edward, her hand already slackening in mine, she was struggling to keep her eyes open. Her body was shivering, her skin cooling and paling. She was dying.

He kissed her trembling lips. “I need you to stay with me,” he pleaded, “Keep your eyes on me, love. Hang on Bella. Just…stay with me.”

She tried a smile for him, her effort to make this easier for him tearing at my already breaking heart. Nothing could make this easier. This would kill Edward in a way that he would never hope to heal. As the glow faded from her eyes, she squeezed my hand as tightly as she could.

“I love you so much, all of you.” Then she closed her eyes, the last of her tears escaping as Edward kissed her forehead, her cheeks, every part of her he could reach.

Edward’s sobs broke through the night, the pain intensifying with every one. Carlisle got up from beside me and embraced Edward, his own sobs tearing through his chest.

My eyes drifted shut as I tried to shove the pain from my mind, letting it drift to a place blanketed in pristine snow. Under the tree lays a polished grey stone, a single red rose, bright crimson against the white snow. A little piece of heaven, laid in the tears of those who loved Bella Swan.

Hope you all enjoyed it!

No sooner had Edward’s lips touched Bella’s neck, was he away from her and across the room. I moved over to her, putting pressure on the bite wound. “Are you alright, Edward?” I asked.

“I think so,” he replied, he was closer now. Just a few feet behind me. “It’s not too bad; her blood doesn’t taste the same.”

“No, it wouldn’t,” I said, taping a piece of gauze over the wound. “We need to keep a close watch on her, until we land, and keep taking her temperature. If she were to wake up, I don’t know what will happen.”

“What about when we land, Carlisle? She can’t go to a hospital,” Edward had sat down next to Bella and was stroking her hair.

“I’ll find someway to convince the flight attendants that Bella’s no longer in danger,” I sighed as my gaze travelled over her. “It’s not going to be an easy task,” I said, “she looks like she’s dying.”

“She is dying,” Edward muttered and I realized something. Did Edward already regret his decision? Did he still struggle with making her one of us? “No,” he whispered, “to both. I just wish that it didn’t have to be like this, that’s all. I wanted her to have the final say.”

“That wouldn’t have made a difference,” I replied quietly, “and I think we both know that. Bella’s wanted this ever since she first fell in love with you.”

“I know.” I laid a hand on Edward’s shoulder. Edward reached over and into his bag that sat on the floor, and pulled out his cell phone. He pressed the ‘on’ button and passed it to me. “You should call the others; I can only imagine how Alice is handling this, if she managed to see it coming.”

Taking the phone from him, I quickly dialled the number and waited. It rang only once, and then, sure enough, Alice picked it up. “Carlisle! Thank god!” she sounded anxious, but relieved.

“Relax Alice,” I said, “everything is okay. For now.”

“Edward did it then?” she asked, “He bit her?”

“Yes.”

“I’m sorry, the vision wasn’t exactly clear.” Alice paused to suck in a breath. “She’s going to be okay, Carlisle. I can see it, and you won’t have any trouble when you land in Seattle either.”

That was a relief. “Alice, I need someone to meet us in Seattle, bring the Mercedes.”

“Yes,” she replied, “that won’t be a problem.”

“Good.” I flipped the phone shut, and sighing, I looked at the clock. Three hours to go.

“You might want to talk to the flight attendant soon,” Edward said. “And tell her that it won’t be necessary to have an ambulance waiting when we land,” he added with a slight smile.

I nodded, “take her temperature, Edward. Make sure it’s not coming down too fast.” Turning, I headed through the curtain, past the still somewhat worried passengers, and to the back of the plane. “Ashley?” I called.

“Yes, Dr. Cullen?” she moved over from a corner, a smile on her face.

I smiled back, hoping that my lie would convince her. “I’ve managed to make a diagnosis on Bella, and the treatment is starting to work. She should be just fine.” My smile widened.

It took her several seconds to regain her composure. “Was it contagious?” Ashley asked.

“No.” That, of course, was also a lie, but if any of the other passengers had managed to catch it, they would’ve showed symptoms by now. “Bella’s sleeping, its best if she stays that way for the remainder of the flight.”

She nodded, “do you still require the paramedics to be on the runway when we land in Seattle?”

“No, that won’t be necessary. I will take Bella to the hospital myself.”

She didn’t look convinced, but after biting her bottom lip for several seconds, she nodded again. “Alright.”

I turned and headed back to first class. “How is she?” I asked Edward as I took the seat beside him.

“Her fever is 103.8, and the tachycardia seems to be alleviating slightly,” he replied, and then after a moment, added, “Don’t worry, you’ve convinced her.”

“I certainly hope so.”

“Two and a half more hours,” Edward stated quietly.

I nodded, “Alice will meet us at the airport. You’re going to have to carry her off the plane.” Edward nodded.

I leaned down and placed a kiss to Bella’s soft lips. “I did everything I could,” I whispered to her, “I’m sorry.”

“I’m sure she knows that Carlisle,” Edward muttered. “She’ll forgive you.” I felt his hand atop mine, and looking up; I finally knew that everything would be alright.

A/N: Most of you probably wanted me to end it after they got off the plane, or when Bella's transformation is complete. However, I thought it was best to end it while they were still on the plane. Giving even more meaning to the title. Hope you enjoyed it!

And there’s not much left to this I’m afraid. Although I do have more ideas for fic, we’ll see how much I can get done and posted. And the Edward/Carlisle is for you love, captjackspeanut. Enjoy!

I looked at the clock, five hours before we landed in Seattle. Edward was pacing, I couldn’t even hope to know what was going through his mind. “We have to change her,” Edward stopped suddenly, his gaze burned into mine. “I won’t lose her, Carlisle.”

He took a step towards me, and I could feel the anxiety, the fear, radiating off him. It pained me, made my cold heart ache in a way it never had before. Made me want to take that pain away. “Neither will I,” I replied, reaching my hand out and gripping Edward’s forearm, offering what little comfort I could. “You both mean too much to me.”

“You tried, Carlisle,” Edward whispered, moving even closer, and I couldn’t stop my slight intake of breath. “You did everything you could, you didn’t let your love for Bella, or me, stand in the way of your medical judgment, and I can’t ask for more than that.” His hand went to the back of my neck and he slanted my head, our lips touching in a light kiss.

He pulled back after a second and I let my hand, which was still on his arm, slide down. I gave his hand a small squeeze before letting go.

“How long does she have?” Edward asked quietly.

I studied Bella, even in the dim light; the bluish tinge to her skin was visible. “The hypoxia has already started to settle in,” I replied, “I’m afraid it won’t be long before her heart fails.”

“The venom,” Edward continued, “will it be strong enough to wake her?”

I hesitated; I knew what he was asking me to remember. “She won’t wake until the fever breaks,” I said quietly, “and that depends on how fast the venom works on the infection.”

“But it will take longer than five hours?”

“Most likely, it may take as long as a day, or a day and a half,” I replied.

“Are you sure?” Edward looked away, at Bella, “I don’t remember-”

“Bella is worse off right now than you were,” I explained, my voice quiet and pained. “I knew there was no hope for you. I tried everything possible to save Bella, and if we weren’t stuck on an airplane, 30 000 feet in the air, she’d be okay.”

“She’ll still be okay, Carlisle,” Edward said, “if we have as long as you say-”

“I fear her heart won’t hold out,” I muttered, it was still beating, still racing, but her blood pressure was too low. “And if her other organs start to fail...”

“Then we do it now,” Edward said, “The venom will start to kill the infection, saving her organs.” I fought to believe him, wanted to believe that he was right. “Carlisle, please,” Edward’s voice broke as he pleaded with me, and I had that overwhelming urge to remove his pain again. “It’s the only chance she has left.”

I took a deep breath, nodding and closing my eyes, praying that this would work. Edward was at Bella’s side in an instant, he moved her hair aside, bending his head as his teeth sank into her neck.

A/N: Hypoxia = a condition where tissues in the body don’t get enough oxygen.

I think Edward just had to have his say, and I suck at writing him. Enjoy!

“It’s alright, Edward,” I assured him. Although, I knew that I couldn’t continue with the procedure now. “I didn’t go that deep.” Edward’s hand relaxed and I pulled the needle from Bella’s back, putting pressure on the puncture site just as a precaution.

I looked up as he moved away and began to pace, ignoring the constant motion of the airplane. “What are going to do now Carlisle?”

I had two choices for treatment, the amoxicillin or the vancomycin. There were other assorted antibiotics amongst the pill bottles, but the amoxicillin was the only one with enough in it. “The amoxicillin is our best bet,” I told Edward.

“She’s unconscious,” he said, “how are you going to give it her?”

My gaze rested on Bella, Edward was right; we couldn’t give them to her. I thought, my mind running through several different ways of getting those pills into a liquid form. However, none of which were possible on an airplane with limited medical supplies.

“The vancomycin?” Edward asked.

“Let’s hope there’s enough to keep the infection at bay until we land,” I said as I reached for the vial and, using one the needles, injected it into Bella’s arm.

~*~

About half an hour later, Edward lifted his head from Bella’s shoulder and informed me that the flight attendant, Ashley, was getting anxious because she hadn’t heard anything from me. “You should talk to her Carlisle,” Edward said, “before she decides to come and check herself.”

I sighed, and stood. “Check Bella’s temperature for me, I need to know if the vancomycin is having any effect on the infection.” Edward nodded and reached for the thermometer.

Pretending to get a couple of towels from the back, I moved the curtain aside and headed towards the back of the plane, hoping that Ashley would follow. She did.

“Um, Dr. Cullen?” she asked timidly.

Grabbing a towel, I turned, “yes?”

“How’s the girl doing?”

“I was able to give Bella some antibiotics, I’m hoping that those are enough to last until we land,” I explained.

“So, she’s going to be-”

“Carlisle!” Edward’s anxious voice, although unheard to everyone else, was quite clear to me.

“Yes,” I said to Ashley, assuring her as best I could. “Excuse me.” I ran as fast as was considered human back to first class.

“What is it, Edward?” I asked my own panic flowing through me.

“Listen,” he replied, “her heart.”

The beats of Bella’s heart became quicker, although quieter with every passing second. I counted them when the pace finally levelled out: 122 bpm. “What was her temperature?” I asked, watching as Bella’s breathing rate increased as well.

“104,” Edward said.

I froze as an overwhelming sense of grief hit me. There was nothing I could do. Bella was slowly going into septic shock, her organs would fail, and soon she would die.

A/N: I intended for this part to be long, but I just love how this is turning out. So I’m going to leave this one here. Oh, and before anyone asks: bpm = beats per minute. Septic shock is caused by sepsis, also known as blood poisoning. And can cause multiple organ failure and death. Sepsis is caused by an infection.

I also got a lot of questions pertaining to the medical terms used in the last chapter. Therefore I’ve decided to go a little lighter on the terms and procedures. I’m sorry to those who actually know what I’m talking about, but for those who don’t, it’ll make this story more enjoyable for both of us. That said I’m going to briefly explain about the last chapter before you read this one (those of you who knew what I was talking about, feel free to skip over this). An LP/lumbar puncture or a spinal tap is a medical procedure in which the doctor inserts a needle into the patient’s spine. Spinal fluid is then collected and tested. Bacterial meningitis is an infection of the brain and spinal cord. It is life threatening if left untreated.

“Is that a little dangerous Carlisle?” I asked as I quickly dressed. Although it had been a few years since I’d last graduated Med School, the knowledge hadn’t faded.

“We’ve been lucky enough to be turbulence free so far,” Carlisle said.

“So far,” I repeated, “if we did happen to hit a pocket of turbulence, even you wouldn’t have a steady enough hand not to hit any nerves.” He was struggling again with his decision, and I was sorry.

I love her too you know, he thought, his eyes tortured. “I know you do,” I muttered. But we’re running out of time.

I didn’t reply and Carlisle sighed. “Are you going to help me or not?” he asked, as he began clearing the pill bottles off the seat.

I nodded and moved over to Bella. Carefully lifting her onto her side, I brought her knees up to her chest and bent her head. “Hold her as steady as you can Edward,” Carlisle said as he used a piece of Vodka soaked gauze to clean an area on Bella’s lower back.

Carlisle picked up the needle and I tightened my grip on her.

I don’t know why I heard it, I had long ago trained my mind to block out everyone’s thoughts that I didn’t care to hear. But I saw it, as clear as the pilot saw it in his mind; the sky, black and lit up only every few seconds by lightning strikes.

My hand’s tightened on Bella’s body and I sucked in a deep breath, wondering if Carlisle still had time, and then several things happened at once. The pilot reached for the intercom, ready to warn passengers of the approaching thunderstorm and to ask them to return to their seats, the airplane hit a pocket of air, jerking and dropping what felt like a few hundred feet, and Carlisle’s hand moved, the needle puncturing Bella’s skin.

“No!” I cried, and reached for Carlisle’s arm; fear that he had hit one of Bella’s nerves filling my senses.

A/N: I am truly sorry about the length of this part. But I’m working on the next part, and should have it done soon.

And today is even worse, or at least it is now, I was alright this morning. I’m sorry if this chapter isn’t any good, I don’t feel like writing, but I didn’t want to keep you guys waiting. Enjoy.

And Happy Thanksgiving to all you Americans!

“Take off your clothes and get under the blanket with her, Edward,” I said again, when he still didn’t move. “It’s the only way we can get her fever down.”

Edward seemed to snap out of his reverie at that, and quickly removed his clothing, grabbing the blanket and covering Bella and himself with it. “She’s warm, Carlisle,” Edward said, “really warm.”

“I know,” I replied, “I can only hope that this works.” Sighing, I turned and started to pace, millions of different diagnoses running through my mind.

It was an infection, of that I was almost positive. Although, was it bacterial or viral? The sudden, severe onset of her symptoms pointed more towards bacterial. But with no way to run a blood culture, I could have no hope of discovering what was making Bella ill.

“If only I knew whether or not the rash is a symptom,” I muttered, meeting Edward’s anxious eyes.

“It wasn’t there before the fever,” Edward reminded me.

“No,” I replied, “but that doesn’t mean anything.” I paused, “did Bella seem a little different to you, Edward?” I asked.

He frowned, “Downplaying her symptoms? She’s always done that.”

I shook my head; I was obviously looking for symptoms that weren’t there. Symptoms that would’ve lead to a diagnosis sooner. “It doesn’t matter,” I muttered, moving over to them and taking Bella’s temperature again.

No change.

I felt my panic return; I knew I was running out of time.

Standing, I moved quickly through the curtain separating us from the rest of the passengers and to the back of the plane.

“How’s she doing?” Ashley asked when I appeared in the doorway.

“I can’t get her fever down,” I said, my eyes searching the cupboards. “Listen; can you do me a favour? I need you to ask the passengers to give up any medications they may have on them.” I reached for the bottle of Vodka that sat on a counter behind me. “Are there any diabetics on board? I’m also going to need at least one needle.” The flight attendant looked shocked, but nodded her head after a second. “Thank you.”

I turned and headed back to first class. “Vodka?” Edward asked when I returned.

“It works better for sterilization, than some of the other alcohols,” I explained. “Edward, yesterday, did Bella mention anything to you about feeling well?”

Edward’s eyes narrowed before he answered, “She did mention a headache and a stiff neck, but she just thought that it was from the way she slept.”

I took a deep breath; my brain finally resting on what I hoped was a correct diagnosis. “Bacterial Meningitis?” Edward said, my gaze was tortured as it met his. “Carlisle,” Edward’s voice turned pleading, “no.” He shook his head, “you’re wrong, Carlisle. It has to be something else!”

“Edward,” I said my voice low and pained, I moved over and sat down beside them. “You know I don’t want this for her. And if there was a possibility of it being anything else, I would do everything I could to figure it out! But you know as well as I do, the symptoms, it’s quite clear.”

“Carlisle, half the people on this plane could be infected too.”

“I know,” I muttered, “which is why I’m not going to say anything. We don’t need mass hysteria to break out.”

“If it Meningitis,” Edward sighed, “how long do we have?”

“That depends,” I said, my eyes on Bella’s beautiful face. “That flight attendant was supposed to get me medication from the other passengers. I can only hope for board-spectrum antibiotics. And they may not help her all that much.” Edward looked up and then away suddenly, towards the curtain. “What?”

“The flight attendant has the meds,” he whispered.

I stood and moved over to the curtain, I was just about to pull it aside when she spoke. “Um, Dr. Cullen?” she called, louder than was necessary. I pulled the curtain open. “Oh,” she blushed, and handed me a bag that she held in her right hand. “These are what I could get for you. There are a couple of needles in there as well.”

I smiled, “thank you Ashley.” She nodded after a moment and then turned.

Closing the curtain, I carried the bag over to where Edward and Bella were and dumped it onto the seat. Something caught my eye immediately and I reached for the vial lying amongst various pill bottles. I frowned as I read the label: vancomycin.

“How did someone get that on the plane?” Edward asked.

I shook my head, “I don’t even know why a person would have this in their possession.” I rolled the vial between my fingers, there wasn’t much left.

“Will it work?” Edward asked as I reached for a full bottle of amoxicillin.

“There’s not enough, and I don’t want to waste it, without a proper diagnosis...” I trailed off, knowing that he would follow my thoughts.

There was one test, although extremely risky to perform in these conditions that would give a definitive answer as to whether or not Bella had Meningitis. “Put your clothes back on Edward,” I said, “you’re not helping her anyway. I need you to help me perform an LP on her.”

A/N: For those of you who have seen the episode of House that I based this off of, yes, I am kind of going along the same lines, however, she will not have the same condition as the patient did in the show.

Thanks to captjackspeanut for the naked!Edward idea. Hope you all enjoy!

No sooner had the words left my mouth, did the panic break out. Passengers got up from their seats and, frightened, either moved further up or through the curtain and into coach.

“I’m sorry, sir,” I turned at the sound of a flight attendant’s voice. Edward moved past me to kneel at Bella’s side, his hand on her forehead. “We just passed the half way mark fifteen minutes ago. There’s no turning around.” She was young and pretty, I read the name on her tag: Ashley.

“Ashley,” I said, using the most appealing voice I could manage, “my daughter is very sick. She needs-”

“She spoke with the pilot, Carlisle,” Edward said quietly, “there’s not enough fuel. We’d never make it.”

I sighed as a feeling of extremely disconcerting unease filled me. My eyes fell closed as I glanced apologetically at Edward, I’m sorry.

Edward’s expression hardened and he shook his head slowly. He was telling me not to give up, not to lose faith, but hadn’t it already gone? With a plane full of human passengers, with no medical equipment or medications, what hope did I have left of saving the one human who held a place in my cold heart that no one else ever had? I didn’t.

“Is she going to be okay?” Ashley interrupted my thoughts. I looked up at her and found her frightened eyes fixed on Bella.

“I don’t know,” I whispered.

“You’re a doctor right?” she asked, and glanced at Edward. “That’s what he said.”

“I am,” I replied, “but there’s little I can do for her.”

“Then she’s-”

“No,” Edward’s voice was sharp; I could see the girl flinch just slightly. “My father and I will do everything in our power to make sure she survives this flight.” Edward’s golden gaze was piercing when it met mine.

I don’t know why it struck me then, but I suddenly knew how to get Bella’s temperature down. A small smile stretched across my lips and Edward frowned at me. Think about it Edward, I thought, what’s the fastest and easiest way to get a patient’s fever down when it’s extremely high?

“An ice bath,” Edward muttered, only loud enough so I could hear. Yes. “But where are we going to get an ice bath?”

Normally I would’ve laughed at his cluelessness, Edward was smart, but sometimes I wonder how exactly his brain operates. We won’t. “Ashley, is it possible to clear these passengers out of first class? I can help Bella, but I need some privacy.”

She frowned at me, much the same as Edward had. “Um, I suppose. Is it contagious? Is that why you need them gone? So that they don’t catch it?”

“I don’t know if it’s contagious, I don’t know what she has. But it’s more than possible.”

The flight attendant didn’t even have to ask, the remaining passengers ran from their seats, and into the next cabin. “Should I inform the pilot that you’ve quarantined first class?” she asked.

“No,” I said, moving over to Bella, “however I was wondering if you could grant me access to your facilities, I’m going to need some supplies, and it’s best if we keep as many people out of this area as possible.”

She nodded, biting her lip, “of course.” She shared a worried glance with Edward before turning and moving back through the curtain.

I worked quickly, removing Bella’s clothes. Edward stood behind me, frozen. “Take off your clothes Edward,” I ordered.

Enjoy! More to come soon.

“Carlisle.” Edward’s anxious voice was barely auditable, even through he sat right next to me. I turned, and rose from my seat as I noticed right away what had alarmed him. “She wasn’t like this before, was she?”

I reached out and pulled the blanket down from Bella’s shoulders, she didn’t wake. “No, there was no rash. I would’ve noticed.” I brushed the opening on her blouse aside to see if the rash extended beyond her face, neck, and arms. It did. My hand then went to her forehead; her skin was warmer than ever.

She was sick. Really sick, and if I couldn’t get her fever down, then I was afraid she wouldn’t survive the flight.

“Edward, I need a thermometer, there isn’t one in the first aid kit. Can you go and ask the flight attendants? I don’t care what you tell them, just get me one. I need to get her fever down.” I knew my gaze was as desperate as my words had been when I met his. Edward’s tortured golden eyes rested on Bella; I could tell he was in pain because she was in pain. I covered his hand with my own. “You know I will do everything possible for her. I love her just as much as you do.”

Edward inhaled deeply and then turned, heading to the back of the plane. I reached for the lever on Bella’s seat and pulled it, moving it to a horizontal position. “Bella?” I asked as I pulled the blanket off her. “Bella, it’s Carlisle, I need you to wake up for me.”

Bella didn’t stir and if my heart was beating, it surely would’ve doubled in it’s pace. I could already hear the sudden chatter of the other first class passengers; ‘is something wrong with that girl?’, ‘look how red her face is...’, ‘is that a rash? I wonder how sick she really is...’

Taking a breath, I pushed those voices from my head; the last thing anyone needed on this flight was panic.

“This was all they had,” Edward appeared at my side, and handed me a small thermometer that looked like one that had been used to measure outside air temperature. “The passengers are starting to get anxious.”

“They’re not the only ones,” I muttered, although I knew I didn’t need to. Edward could feel my concern as much as I could feel his.

“You didn’t wake her?” Edward asked.

“Her temp is too high, if it’s as high as I expect, she won’t wake.” I didn’t need to say the word; Edward knew all too well what I meant. It took only a few seconds for me to get an idea of just how high her temperature really was.

My breathing became ragged when I read it to be at least 105. “Carlisle...”

I shook my head before my emotions could get the better of me. It would not help Bella if I let my love for her cloud my medical judgement. “Edward, go talk to the flight attendants; find out if it’s too late to turn around. Tell them we have a medical emergency, Bella needs to get off this flight and to a hospital.”

    <lj:music>Feel For You - Nightwish</lj:music>

At 30,000 Feet

Author: Mrs Ronald Weasley
Rating: PG-13 or T
Pairing/s: Edward/Bella/Carlisle
Category: Drama/Angst
Spoilers: None, Pre-Breaking Dawn
Warnings: None
Summary: Because at 30 000 feet, when the one you love is dying, you’d do anything to save her, right?
A/N: So I got the idea for this fic from a season three episode of House. And yes this is part of my threesome AU.

Part I

I have the nastiest luck. Why do I always get sick at the worst possible times?

I groaned, shifting in the leather airplane seat to move my body closer to Edward’s. At least we’re going home, I thought, as I laid my head on his stone shoulder; the coolness of his skin felt good against my hot cheek.

“Are you okay Bella?” Edward frowned, and shifted slightly, turning towards me. He reached out and cupped my other warm cheek in his hand; I leaned into it, anything for relief from my burning skin. “You’re warm.”

I didn’t answer; I was nauseous too and didn’t want to throw up. Carlisle, in the seat beside Edward, turned to me then, and I held his concerned golden gaze, silently begging him, wondering if he had anything that would help my nausea.

“She doesn’t appear to have a fever,” Edward muttered, answering Carlisle’s unasked question, his hand moving to my slightly clammy forehead. “She just feels hot.” He paused, running his hand down my face. “Would you like something cold to drink love? It might help.”

I nodded, hoping that it would at least settle my stomach. Edward went to get up but Carlisle laid a hand on his shoulder. “I’ll get it, Edward,” he said and then disappeared down the aisle towards the back of the plane.

My eyes fell closed as I felt a sudden headache; I had to bite my lip to keep from moaning in pain.

Okay I’ve had enough, I thought, twisting in my seat and away from Edward, when Carlisle came back I would tell him how I really felt. I didn’t want to spend the whole of the eighteen hours before we landed, in agony.

Carlisle returned seconds later with the water, sitting on the edge of his seat, he handed it to me. “Thank you,” I whispered to him. Carlisle smiled gently.

I took a sip and immediately started shivering, the cold was too much. “Bella,” Edward said, “are you sure you’re feeling alright?”

I glanced at Edward and then looked to Carlisle with frightened eyes. He moved to kneel in the small space on the floor in front of me. He reached out and pressed the back of his cold hand against my forehead, I shivered. “You were wrong about the fever, Edward,” Carlisle muttered, a look of concern on his beautiful face. He took my left wrist in his other hand to check my pulse. “Bella,” he said, after he dropped my wrist. “I don’t want you to lie to me. I can’t help you if you don’t tell me the truth. How are you feeling?”

“Cold, nauseous,” I looked away, out the window. “And a really bad headache.” Both Carlisle and Edward let out a sigh; I turned back to them, slight panic coming over me. “What’s wrong with me?” I asked, looking from one vampire to the other.

Carlisle shook his head slowly. “I don’t know,” he replied, “With your symptoms...it could be almost anything. And with no way to run tests,” he paused and looked at Edward for a brief moment before turning back to me. “I can only treat your symptoms.” Edward stood suddenly and with an apologetic smile moved into the aisle and to the back of the plane. “Edward’s going to ask a flight attendant for the first aid kit,” Carlisle said, picking up on my confusion. “There should be some meds in it that I can give you.”

I nodded, and closed my eyes against the throbbing in my head. “I’m sorry, Bella,” I heard him say. “I wish there was more I could do for you.”

“I know,” I replied, opening my eyes as he moved to Edward’s empty seat. We shared a concerned glance before Carlisle reached out and cupped my cheek in his cold hand; I shivered, but brought my own hand up, covering his so that he didn’t pull away.

His gaze was wary as he leaned towards me, his cool lips just brushing against mine in a comforting kiss. And I was glad that he couldn’t catch whatever it is that I have.

“Here Carlisle,” Edward’s voice interrupted our kiss.

Carlisle pulled back slightly, the concern in his golden eyes was piercing. I rubbed my thumb across the back of his hand to ensure him that I was okay...for now at least. He smiled gently and then turned to Edward.

Edward passed him the first aid kit. “The flight attendants were worried,” Edward told him. “They wanted to know why I need the kit.”

“What did you tell them?” Carlisle asked, as he began rummaging through the box.

“That my fiancée wasn’t feeling too well.”

“That’s it?” Carlisle sighed as he rattled a small white pill bottle.

“Yes.” Edward sat down beside Carlisle. After a moment he frowned, “should I have told them something different?”

“No, you told them the truth, that’s all they need to know.” Carlisle set the box down on the seat and sighed, “This airplane has a very poorly stocked first aid kit.” He eyed the pill bottle sitting on top of the box and then turned to me. “Bella,” he said slowly, “I can give you some ibuprofen. It’ll help with the headache and fever, but it may make your nausea worse.”

“Isn’t there anything in there that’ll take the nausea away?” I asked. I didn’t want it to get any worse than what it already was. I’d suffer through the fever and headache if I had to.

“I’m sorry,” Carlisle apologized, “there should be though, as there should be acetaminophen.”

“I don’t want it,” I said, “the nausea is bad. I can put up with the headache.”

Carlisle looked doubtful, but nodded. “Okay,” he said, “just let me know if you change your mind. Or if you feel any different.”

“I’ll try to sleep most of it off,” I said, leaning back in my seat. “I might feel better when I wake up.”

“I’ll get you a pillow and a blanket, love,” Edward said and got up.

I didn’t wait for him to return; I leaned my head back and closed my eyes.

Takes place in my post-New Moon Bella/Carlisle AU.

A/N: You know it’s bad when you miss your own writing! This is an excerpt from my longer, unfinished, Bella/Carlisle fic called Where Twilight Dwells. It’s meant to be more dark than angsty because I just wasn’t really feeling depressed.

I got inspired for this while watching this. It’s Bella/Jacob but I suggest you check it out even if you hate Jacob/Bella. I don’t ship Jacob/Bella in any way other than friendship, and I loved this vid. Dark, but not quiet. The sound of her sobs broke through silence and through him like knife. It had only been a few weeks and neither of them could shake the depression, the pain.

Sucking in a deep breath and attempting to keep the pain at bay, Carlisle opened the door and entered the hallway.

She stopped crying abruptly when she heard the garage door shut. Quickly, Bella got up from the bedroom floor and ran into the bathroom, shoving her blood-covered hands and arms under the cold running water.

“Bella?” Carlisle called as he heard a door slam shut upstairs.

It wasn’t until he reached the landing, did he notice the smell of the blood: her blood.

Panic welled within him and turned, running to the bathroom and swinging the door open.

“Bella? What happened?” She jumped and reached for a towel, but he was too fast for her. She was in his arms and back in the bedroom in less than a second.

“Carlisle,” her reply was weak and hoarse, and she moaned in pain when he pressed a clean towel to each of her bleeding wrists.

“Bella, what did you do?” His voice was gentle, non-accusing and pained.

“I’m sorry, Carlisle,” she cried. “I’m so sorry!”

“Shh,” he soothed as best he could as he pulled her into his arms. “It’ll be alright. You’re going to be fine.”

“No,” she moaned.

“You didn’t cut yourself that deep, I can-”

“I can’t do it Carlisle!” Bella cried, “I can’t keep living without him!”

As much as it hurt, Carlisle pulled away slightly too look her in the eye. “Bella, listen to me, please,” his voice was desperate; “I need you to hang on for me. You can’t do this alone, and neither can I. We need each other. I won’t lose you too.”

She went quiet then, her sobs subsiding into deep, calming breaths, but tears still poured out of her bloodshot eyes.

“Can you do that?” he whispered, his hands on her head and his tortured angelic face inches from hers.

Her eyes fell closed and she nodded once.

Smiling slightly, Carlisle leaned forward and kissed her passionately.

He pulled back after a few seconds, and took her wrists, “why didn’t you tell me?” he whispered as he pulled back the towels.

“I’m sorry,” she replied, refusing to meet his eyes. “I didn’t think I could do something like this. I didn’t think my will was strong enough...”

“Bella,” Carlisle said as he moved to the dresser, turning on the light, “I can give you something.”

She shook her head. “No,” she whispered, “I don’t want antidepressants. I won’t do it again.”

His golden eyes met hers and he nodded, giving in, for the moment at least. But that didn’t matter, she was safe, and that was all he cared about.

Bella stayed quiet while he cleaned her cuts. “I’m going to give you a couple of stitches just to be safe,” Carlisle said quietly after a few moments. She nodded.

“Carlisle?” her voice was barely a whisper.

“Yes Bella?”

“I...” she paused and looked away for a moment, “I know you love your work, but, do you think you could take some time off? I just think it’d be better for me if you were here all the time.”

Carlisle looked up as he finished wrapping her right hand in gauze, “I think it’d be better for both of us.”

He collected everything from the bed and turned off the light before returning. “Can you sleep?” he asked her as she lay down.

Bella nodded, “I think so.”

Carlisle reached for her and she turned into his arms, curling up beside him as she closed her eyes. His grip tightened as he knew it would only be a matter of time before she began thrashing from the nightmares that still plagued her...

A/N: I left it like that because like I said in the author note at the beginning, this is part of a longer story. I don’t know when I’m going to post the first chapter of that, hopefully it’ll be soon. Thanks for reading, and I’m sorry that I haven’t written anything lately!

    <lj:music>Deep Silent Complete - Nightwish</lj:music>

I don't make graphics very often, but these have been sitting on my hard drive for a while now, so I thought I'd share. They're mostly song lyrics because words speak to me more than images do, and I made these for myself orginally. A couple of them are a little heavy on the amount of lyrics from the song used because I made them when I was feeling angry (Six Feet Under's Not Deep Enough and Planet Hell). Sorry about that, but enjoy.

Angtoria
[1] Six Feet Under's Not Deep Enough lyrics

Evanescence
[1] Hello/Like You lyrics

In This Moment
[1] Ashes lyrics

Nightwish
[1] Tarja/Ghost Love Score lyrics
[1] Nemo lyrics
[1] Nightwish (Demo) lyrics
[1] Planet Hell lyrics

Xandria
[1] Drown In Me lyrics

Bella still struggles with Edward’s death.

A/N: First off, I’m glad nothing happened to my fanfiction.net account. Therefore, I will continue to post my stories there. NC-17 rated too. Second, this is a song fic. The song, ‘Glades of Summer’ by Sirenia, in my opinion is a masterpiece, both lyrically and musically. And although most of my stories are inspired by music, I wanted to write the story that I feel this song is telling. To do that, I felt that the lyrics needed to be included in the main body of the story, and not just at the beginning. I was going to end this very differently, tragically to be exact, because I feel that the song is meant to have a tragic end. But you got a bittersweet one instead.

In the fields of summer

I will dance away with you

I never knew the pain would see us through

And though we fear the silence

We never ever realized

That life was only passing gently by

The sun was setting, casting long rays of orange across the sky. She stood at the back door, waiting for him to return from his hunting trip. It had been nearly a month since she’d returned from Italy. Since Edward had died. Time had passed, but nothing had healed.

The pain lessoned though, although she wasn’t sure why, when she was in this place. When she was in the arms of the one who had loved Edward almost as much as she had.

That’s why she stayed here as long as she could, days, if her father was away.

When the darkness seems to fall

Then I can hear you call

Your voice is clearer now than before

And in the summer rain

I´ll carry all your pain

If I could only see you again

He appeared then, running through the woods towards the house. As he neared the doors, he slowed and the last dying rays of the sun caught his silhouette, making his pale skin sparkle, turning his golden hair the color of her lost lover’s.

Her breath caught at the image for if he hadn’t moved out of the light, he might’ve been Edward.

“Bella?” The sound of his voice at the door snapped her out of her reverie.

“I’m sorry, Carlisle,” she said her voice breaking slightly as she turned to him. Her eyes held unshed tears and she blinked them away before wrapping her arms around him.

“Are you alright?” he asked quietly, rubbing her back soothingly.

“I am now,” she whispered, laying her head on his shoulder.

He knew how hard it was for her when he wasn’t with her. So I sat down at my computer and let the words flow. This is what came out.

Pain. They can’t even come close to understanding, not until they’ve felt it for what it truly is.

But perhaps pain isn’t the right word for what I feel. Because what I feel is nothing. Not love, not fear, not pain. I feel nothing anymore. I can’t feel, for you have taken that sense with you.

Time, they say, heals all wounds. Part of my threesome AU but mostly canon for Breaking Dawn if that makes sense, because I intended for my AU to be between Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, think of this as a continuation, minus the fact that Edward and Bella were virgins before Breaking Dawn. Sorry if that didn’t make any sense. Written for my Twilight20 prompt Heartbreak.

‘Day possesses no key here

Where moon sheds the cold twilight

This moment is eternity’

- ‘Lappi – III. And not as a night of hopelessness.”

“Everything’s going to fine Bella,” I could tell that he really didn’t believe that, if he did there would be no urgency in his anguished voice. “Carlisle and I will handle this.”

If he continued, I didn’t listen. My mind had gone elsewhere at the mention of Carlisle. My pain flared, and I felt a sob tear through my chest as I realized that I was going to lose him as well. “Bella,” Edward’s hands reached out and tilted my head, slanting my lips over his.

I kissed him gently, willing, praying for pain to go away in his touch, in his kiss; instead, the black hole of despair inside me opened, threatening to swallow me whole. And for the first time in months, I found myself wanting more, wanting someone that I hadn’t had since before the wedding.

I broke the kiss, gasping in tearless, broken sobs. “Bella, love,” Edward pulled me to him and I wrapped my arms around him tightly, again hoping for some release from my pain, none came.

“Edward?” I breathed.

“Yes love?” He was trying to keep from sobbing himself; his voice was strained, almost hoarse.

I pulled away slightly, our grief-stricken filled eyes meeting. “I want you to go get Carlisle for me,” I whispered.

Edward’s golden eyes rested on my face for a moment, and I wondered if he realized what it was I really wanted, but then he nodded and disappeared through the door.

I turned back to the fire, reaching my hands out, feeling the warmth even though now it wasn’t more than glowing embers. So this was it, I thought, this was my eternity. Not more than a mere few months. Edward and Bella, the doomed star-crossed lovers, not any better than Romeo and Juliet, except that our deaths were going to be handed to us on a silver platter and there was not a thing we could do.

But there was more to this, more than just my love for Edward, because I loved Carlisle just as much as I loved Edward. And the fact that Carlisle and I hadn’t such much as kissed since before wedding, made my longing, my pain, my fear, for him that much stronger.

If we only had one more month to live, I wanted to be with him one last time, him and Edward.

I heard their footsteps before the door opened and then closed behind them. “Bella?” there was concern in Carlisle’s quiet, gentle voice. “Edward said you wanted to see me.”

My eyes fell closed for a brief moment and I sucked in a deep breath, I didn’t even know if he would agree to this, but I had to try. Even if he resisted, I knew that death couldn’t be any worse than living in pain and fear. In that case, I would welcome it.

Opening my eyes, I turned and saw them standing a couple of feet from me, Carlisle was nearest to me. I resisted the urge to throw myself at him. Instead I moved slowly across the room, closing the small distance between us. My eyes sought out his as I leaned in, angling my head and brushing my lips softly against his.

It was pure and utter bliss to have Carlisle’s lips against mine again, so much that it nearly pulled me from my pain. Nearly. I wasn’t complete yet.

“Bella,” Edward whispered, I knew it was meant to be a warning, but it didn’t sound like that. It sounded like Edward’s longing was just as strong as mine.

Carlisle’s hand came up to cup my cheek, pushing my head back with the slightest pressure. Our kiss broke and I almost broke into sobs once more at the look in his golden eyes. “Please Carlisle,” I whispered in a frantic tone, “If things are as bad as Edward says, then I know we, you, don’t stand a chance. I just want one more chance to-”

Edward stepped forward suddenly and placed a finger over my lips, silencing me. “Shh, love.”

I would’ve glared at him if I wasn’t so lost in pain.

“Bella,” I looked up, it was Carlisle’s voice, soft, tender, loving. “I never stopped loving you,” he whispered, then his miserable eyes fixed on Edward’s, “or Edward. If this is what you need, I won’t refuse you.”

Carlisle never gave my sobs a chance to come out; he lifted me from the floor into his arms, his lips fused to mine in a heated kiss. His tongue traced my teeth as he ran with me into the bedroom, Edward right behind us.

His taste was different than I remembered, stronger, and much, much sweeter. I was dropped on the bed then and within seconds both vampires had ripped the clothes from my body. I could already feel my arousal and found it strange again that my heart wasn’t racing like I thought it should if I was still human.

Edward kissed me deeply, his tongue thrusting into my mouth as Carlisle bent his head and began licking and kissing my neck and throat. I moaned into Edward’s mouth when I felt two sets of hands on my body, kneading, and rubbing soothingly.

Carlisle slowly trailed kisses down my neck, to my chest, until his lips found my hardened nipple. I broke my passionate kiss with Edward when Carlisle took my nipple into his mouth, sucking, his tongue fluttering against it. I was gasping now, the sensations in my body stronger than ever before as I writhed under their touches.

Edward’s hand slid down my body and traced feather-light patterns on the inside of my thighs. I growled as his hand moved upward, finally touching me where I wanted. Carlisle captured my lips as his hand joined Edward’s.

Carlisle’s fingers brushed lightly against my clit, the pressure was gentle and teasing, and I arched my hips, pushing them against their hands, seeking release. In response, Edward slipped two fingers into me and began thrusting them in and out, and Carlisle increased his pressure and tempo.

“Oh yes,” I moaned, my hips moving of their own accord. Sensations of intense pleasure began to build within me, pushing me closer and closer to the edge...

Edward leaned in and kissed my shoulder as I continued to writhe, so close. I let out a sob as the feelings seemed to freeze in their intensity, my body would not let me go over the edge. “It’s okay, love,” Edward whispered, his voice husky in my left ear. “Everything’s alright.”

“Let go Bella,” Carlisle’s voice soothed. “Let the pain go and you’ll come.” His lips trailed from my ear to my shoulder. He stopped I felt his sharp teeth break through my marble skin.

That was all I needed, the passionate feelings of bliss seemed to unite with slight sting of his venom, and I cried out, my body tensing as I finally climaxed.

“Better?” Carlisle asked when I’d stilled; I nodded, still panting slightly. “I am sorry about the bite.” He eyed my shoulder.

“No, Carlisle,” I said, “It was just what I needed.”

He smiled slightly, “I thought so. Sometimes the contrast of pain and pleasure is like sexual therapy, so to speak.”

I shifted, and heard Edward let out a low growl when my hips pressed against the bulge in the front of his pants. And I realized that in my haste to rid myself of my pain, I had forgotten about them. They were both still completely dressed.

I reached for Edward, quickly ripping the clothes from his body. I was more careful with Carlisle’s clothes, however because he didn’t have anything else to put back on after. Although, I realized as I freed him from his boxers, Edward’s clothes would probably fit.

“I want both of you inside of me at the same time,” I said as I straddled Carlisle’s waist. A breathy moan escaped both of us when I sank down onto his erection. I had forgotten how wonderful it felt to have Carlisle inside me. My hips rocked back and forth slightly, “Bella,” he growled. I smiled.

Edward moved behind me then, and positioned himself before pushing slowly into me as well. I gasped, it wasn’t painful at all; the sensation caused my breathing to become ragged once more. “I have to admit,” Edward panted, groaning as he sank all the way into me. “I really enjoy having you less breakable Bella.”

I whimpered in response and pushed back against him, lifting my hips slightly off of Carlisle’s lap. Four hands went to my hips, gripping me hard. Edward pulled almost fully out of me and then pushed back in, creating a delicious intensely pleasurable feeling.

Carlisle began to move as well, thrusting at a slightly different tempo than Edward and I was grateful that I was no longer a human, otherwise I knew I’d have passed out by now from the sheer pleasure these two were giving me.

Edward bent his head and began kissing my neck and shoulders, and Carlisle reached up, his hands massaging my breasts.

I moaned and met their thrusts; I could feel the sensations building up again. “Harder,” I panted in a broken plea. “Edward, Carlisle.” They obeyed and within seconds I was thrown over the edge for the second time tonight. I pulled first Carlisle and then Edward with me, Carlisle’s eyes falling shut as his body stiffened beneath me, Edward’s head falling to my shoulder, his teeth sinking into my flesh in the same spot that Carlisle’s had earlier.

I wanted to stay forever, frozen in this moment of eternal bliss, because I knew that once it was over everything else would follow. I would lose everything and everyone that I loved. In that thought my pain returned, but this time I was able to hold in. Edward pulled out of me and rolled onto the bed beside Carlisle and I. It took me a moment before I could push myself off of Carlisle, but once I did, I wound my arms around both of them and pulled them close. Because, no matter what happened in less than a month’s time, I knew that the three would us would stay, frozen in this moment of pure happiness and contentment, for all eternity.
