A/N: First off, I’m glad nothing happened to my fanfiction.net account. Therefore, I will continue to post my stories there. NC-17 rated too. Second, this is a song fic. The song, ‘Glades of Summer’ by Sirenia, in my opinion is a masterpiece, both lyrically and musically. And although most of my stories are inspired by music, I wanted to write the story that I feel this song is telling. To do that, I felt that the lyrics needed to be included in the main body of the story, and not just at the beginning. I was going to end this very differently, tragically to be exact, because I feel that the song is meant to have a tragic end. But you got a bittersweet one instead.

When Forever Is No More

Perhaps this is how it’s supposed to be, you think, as you sit, your lifeless eyes staring off into the glowing western horizon. Nothing is as it seems, it never was, never will be, because there is nothing left, nothing but silence. This is why you sit here now, the last dying rays of daylight shoot orange across the sky, and as twilight descends, you hear your bedroom door open, the old rusty hinges squeaking in the silence, making you turn your head away from the window.

Nothing will ever be the same again, but that doesn’t matter to you anymore, because when his golden eyes meet yours, you know that you are loved. It may not be the same, but it will do. Without breaking the stillness, you stand and fall into his waiting arms, where you will stay, until forever is no more.

She didn’t care that it wasn’t Edward’s lips she was kissing. He didn’t care that she was kissing him with everything in her. He was here to make sure she was alright and if this is what would take her pain away, then he would comply. Because nothing hurts Carlisle more than seeing Bella in pain.

“Carlisle,” Bella moans as he breaks the kiss to suck gently on her throbbing pulse. She grips his arm with one hand and threads the other into his pale hair. “Please don’t stop.” Breathing heavily, he looks into her eyes. He can’t deny her.
